PRE/POST CARE

PRE TREATMENT FOR BROWS:

  • You must be off Accutane or any prescribed acne medications for 1 year. NO EXCEPTIONS

  • Do not take Aspirin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and or Ibuprofen or blood thinners, unless medically necessary, 72 hours prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.

  • Do not drink coffee, alcohol, or energizing drinks on the day before and of procedure. This will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling after the procedure.

  • If you are use to getting your brows tinted, do at least 1 week prior to the permanent makeup procedure.

  • Do not tan or sun bathe 30 days before and after the procedure.

  • if you get your eyebrows waxed or threaded, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least 14 days to have them waxed or threaded & 30 days for tinting after the procedure.

  • Do not have any chemical peels, microdermabrasions, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause fast skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.

  • The procedure is not for pregnant women. 

  • You may be more sensitive during the procedure if you are on your menstrual cycle.

POST TREATMENT FOR BROWS:

  • Do not get your brows directly wet; water, ocean, pool, sweating, or any other liquids 10 days after the treatment. Even a small drop which seems unimportant may expand the wound / possible infections / excessive scabbing may appear, and you may ruin the results. No sweating (of any kinds) gym, yoga, swimmings for the first 10 days. If you work out regularly, results may heal more to a powdered look due to the oils the body produces when it gets heated and sweaty.

  • Do not pick, scratch, rub, or sleep on the treated area. This may lead to lift in color and pigment resulting in unevenness and blank spots. Let brows flake off naturally.

  • No make up or skincare products in area of procedure for first 10 days.

  • Use Aftercare wipes to gently wipe fresh brows after the appointment. This will help remove any excess lymph, blood, and pigment that may appear after the procedure and reduce redness.
  • Clean the area with a small amount of sterile water and non-scented antibacterial soap on a cotton pad 2-3 times a day. Apply healing gel included in your kit with a Q-tip and not with your fingers, Use gel until it runs out and dry heal afterwards.  

  • Do not use ointments, cream with vitamins or antibiotics on eyebrows during the healing process.

  • No sunbathing or tanning for 4 weeks. No direct sun exposure.

  • No Retinols, AHA's, exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox, and any other strong treatments for 6-8 weeks after your procedure.

  • Smoking WILL cause the pigment to fade prematurely and anesthetics will not last as long. 

  • DO NOT USE growth enhancement products on brows one month prior and after treatments has fully healed as it may shift your color.

NOTE:

  • Healing is specific to each client. It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-2 years to maintain its fresh natural appearance. Fading WILL happen after each procedure. We do not have control of your bodies healing process. 

  • Color will appear darker and bolder after the procedure. 

  • The color CAN AND WILL fade/soften anywhere from 10%-30% or more.

  • The shape of your brows will shrink about 10%-20% from original drawn on shape during the shaping process after healing. Please take that into consideration during the shaping process. 

  • if you have previous work done on your brows, it is important to send a picture, and consult to see if the procedure is right for you. Old previous work that is too dark will be turned away and your deposit will be forfeited.

PRE TREATMENT FOR LIPS:

  • Using a lip scrub a few days leading up to your appointment will give you a better outcome. The lip scrub will exfoliate, moisturize your lips, and prepare your them for the lip blush procedure. If you do not own a lip scrub, a simple sugar and coconut oil or olive oil mixture with a dash of honey can suffice. Major focus is to keep your lips moisturized prior to coming in for your appointment for best results!

  • Do not work out prior to our appointment, this expands your pores.

  • Do not drink coffee, alcohol, or energizing drinks on the day before and of procedure. This will minimize any oozing/bleeding or swelling after the procedure.

  • Lip fillers or Botox should be done 4 weeks prior to your procedure and 6 weeks after your procedure.

  • If you have any blemishes, pimples, cold sores, sunburn, or any other skin irritations on the day of your procedure, your appointment will be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited. Please reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. 

  • The procedure is not for pregnant women. 

  • The procedure is not for those with Vitiligo

  • You may be more sensitive during the procedure if you are on your menstrual cycle.

  • If you have a lot of wrinkles in your lips, I advise to get filler first to smooth out the lips. If not, the lips will not heal properly as the ink will be stuck in the wrinkles while healing. Please schedule your appointment 6 weeks from your lip filler date.

  • If you have ever had a cold sore, fever blister, or chicken pox, you MUST get prescribed Zovirax, Valtrex, or other antiviral medication to prevent and outbreak of cold sores. L-lysine is not prescribed, but can be taken as well. This should be taken 4 days before and 4 days after your procedure to aid in prevention, Breakouts can still occur even after taking medication.

POST TREATMENT FOR LIPS:

  • Your lips will be tender for the next few days. Immediately after the procedure, your lips will be swollen and discharge lymph fluid. Gently dab the excess lymph fluid with a paper towel so it does not form a crust on your lips. Use only cold water to cleanse your lips and then generously apply ointment given in your aftercare kit. Do not use your fingers to apply ointment, please use a Q-tip to reduce infection.

  • Apply ice packs to reduce swelling. 

  • Keep your lips moisturized with the ointment given, but don't over do it! A light layer of ointment is just right!

  • DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch  the treated area. This will result in pigment loss or cause scarring, Lips will be very dry and crusty for first few days. 

  • Avoid citrus juices, greasy, salty, and spicy foods during the first few days. Cut food into smaller pieces and then insert. Rinse away food on your lips with cold water. Do not lick and bite your lips during the healing process. Use a straw when drinking any liquids. 

  • Do not smoke when healing.

  • Be careful when brushing your teeth. Do not use any whitening toothpaste or whiten your teeth during the healing process.. 

  • No direct sun exposure until lips have healed. It can cause pigment to fade, burn lips, and cause hyperpigmentation.

  • No Retinols, AHA's, exfoliating treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox, and any other strong treatments for 6-8 weeks after your procedure.

  • When taking a shower, apply a generous amount of ointment on the lips to protect your lips. 

  • No saunas, jacuzzis, steam rooms, jumping into the ocean, excessive sweating working out, or hot yoga for about 7-10 days or until your lips have healed and scabs have fallen off.

  • No make up on your lips until you are fully healed to prevent infection. 

  • No kissing, rubbing, and friction on your lips until fully healed,

  • No lip filler for 6 weeks.

  • Apply sunscreen to keep them from fading prematurely.

  • Avoid laser treatments around the lips. They can turn them black in color. Always let your laser technician know you have permanent makeup on your lips beforehand to prevent a situation from occurring. 

NOTE:

  • Heal time is about 5-10 days depending on the individual, but the color of the lips will blossom for several weeks. Touch up is needed 6-8 weeks from initial date unless you enjoy the color it blossoms to. Do not judge the outcome until at least 6 weeks from the procedure date.

  • Color will appear darker and bolder after the procedure like lipstick.  

  • The color WILL fade/soften about 50%. 

  • It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-2 years to maintain its fresh natural appearance. Fading WILL happen after each procedure. We do not have control of your bodies healing process.  

  • Lip blush can fade more quickly for those who are oil-prone, have an iron deficiency, and use a lot of exfoliating products. Active lifestyles, smoking, and sun exposure can also contribute to premature fading.

PRE TREATMENT FOR LASH ENHANCEMENT:

  • Do not wear any makeup on your eyes to your appointment.

  • Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment. Please wear your glasses instead. You may resume wearing contact lenses after 72 hours of your initial procedure.

  • Please remove your lash extensions 1 week prior to your appointment.

  • Stop all lash serums at east 4 weeks before and after your procedure. 

  • Do not get your lashes tinted 1 week prior to the appointment and 2 weeks after the procedure.

  • if you've had any kind of eye surgery, please consult your physician on how long you should wait before getting your eyeliner tattoo.

POST TREATMENT FOR LASH ENHANCEMENT:

  • DO NOT rub your eyes after the procedure. This can lead to pigment migration. 

  • Do not wear contact lenses until 72 hours after your appointment.

  • Keep salt intake to a minimum and sleep slightly elevated to reduce swelling.

  • Ice packs can be applied in 10-15 minute intervals for the next few hours until swelling has gone down. 

  • Do not apply makeup to your eyes until the 10-14 day healing period or until all scabbing has finished.  

  • Do not sleep on your face for abut 2-4 weeks for best results.

  • No direct sun exposure. Please wear a hat.

  • No saunas, jacuzzis, steam rooms, jumping into the ocean, excessive sweating working out, or hot yoga for about 7-10 days or until your lash enhancement has healed.

NOTE:

  • Inflammation is different for everyone, some swell more than others. 

  • Color will appear darker and bolder after the procedure like a black wet liner, but it will fade into a softer charcoal look. 

  • The color CAN AND WILL fade/soften anywhere from 10%-50% or more.

  • Healing is specific to each client. It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-2 years to maintain its fresh natural appearance. Fading WILL happen after each procedure. We do not have control of your bodies healing process. 

  • I will not be adding any tails or doing bottom lash enhancements, top lash enhancement only. 

  • I am unable to enhance eyelids with some sagging due to pigment migration. If you are unsure if your eyelids are sagging, please send a photo to 972.302.3999 for approval before booking. Otherwise, your deposit will be forfeited if you show up to your appointment and I am unable to proceed.
